About
I am a retired music teacher, organist and non-profit administrator. The patchwork career pattern came from being a United Methodist Clergy spouse. John served several places in Washington State, including two churches in the Tacoma area. I became an Episcopalian in the mid-1990’s while serving as organist at St.Luke’s Tacoma. Most recently we lived in Port Angeles where John retired in 2008. Some of our best memories of Port Angeles come from the years we served as volunteers and leaders at the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge near Sequim. We moved to Tacoma a year and a half ago to be closer to our children who both live in Tacoma.
Arrival at Christ Church
We came to Christ Church in October of 2022 soon after we arrived in Tacoma. We both have degrees in music and we cherish formal liturgy. We knew Christ Church had a reputation for excellence in both.
Fun Fact
John is an avid reader and birdwatcher. I go along to look at the birds after the birdwatchers have set up their spotting scopes. I am an avid knitter and quilt maker.
