About

I was born and grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I graduated from Colorado State Teachers College. Tacoma public schools recruited me to teach special education at Bryant Elementary. I married Larry Williams in 1968, and we had two children: Katherine and Tim. Divorce broke up
our family in 1976.

The children and I attended St. Luke’s Episcopal where Katherine was baptized. In 1981 Kate Monroe suggested that since I am a musician I might enjoy Christ Church. It was love at first note. Father Patrick
Tomter encouraged me to become a member. I was confirmed by Bishop Cochrane. Five year old Timmy was baptized that year. I have been singing in the choir ever since. In 2002 a freshly retired Air Force
Colonel named Hank Davis moved to Tacoma to be near two of his twelve children and sail his boat in Commencement Bay. He joined the choir and married me. We had a wonderful life together until he passed away in 2020. I currently play violin in the South Sound Baroque Orchestra and look forward to returning to the choir when the rehearsal schedules don’t collide.

The One Parish One Prisoner Team, Coffee Hour team leader and 10:30 AM. service intercessor are ways I am currently involved in Christ Church. I was on the Vestry and served as Senior Warden under Father Curt Zimmerman. I also served as Senior Warden under Father Bob Chrisman and transitioned as Senior Warden under Pastor Jane Maynard. If I am elected, I look forward to the opportunity to serve on the vestry once more. I will work to have Christ Church be a beacon of love and light to the community and to the world.
