It is worth, for a moment, to consider the good things we learned that came out of the pandemic. We too can wander in the wilderness, and come out with a renewed sense of who we are, and who God might be calling us to be, what the reign of God might look like in this place, in this time, according to our gifts.
That is salvation. To become like God in Jesus who seeks the liberation, the healing, the flourishing, of all creation. As in Genesis, when God sees her creation and calls it good, we are seen by God, and God is pleased. God’s pleasure in us is no more preceded by our faith, or belief, or action, than is God’s pleasure in the world God has created. We are a delight to God because we are already God’s.
