How We Gather

On Sunday Oct. 12 our congregation gathered in Wells Hall for lunch and a presentation by our College for Congregational Development team, John Kelly, Sherina James, Linda Johnson, Donna Arellano, Barbara Williams and Mother Maria. They introduced the model GATHER TRANSFORM SEND. The focus for this meeting was GATHER. The four elements of GATHER are INVITE, GREET, ORIENT, and SEND. The whole group brainstormed the ways our congregation participates in each of these and ideas were shared on giant sheets. We shared our Gather stories in small groups. At the end all participants were invited to put green (yes) and blue (needs improvement) dots on the giant sheets. The team is excited to evaluate those responses. Stay tuned for our next gathering where we will share results and focus on TRANSFORM.
