Morning Prayer is one of the most consistently prayed services of the Episcopal tradition, and was the most common form of Sunday worship before the 1979 Prayer Book. Morning Prayer is a beautiful and spiritually fulfilling service that reflects our long-standing tradition, and can be done by anyone, ordained or not. It is one of the great gifts of our Anglican heritage.

Last year, during the annual budget preparation, the Vestry decided to do Morning Prayer for half of the Sundays our priest is absent. The budget pays for supply clergy for the remaining Sundays. The Vestry chose to focus Morning Prayer during Ordinary time rather than Lent, Advent, or other festal seasons.

We are grateful to David Pierce and Dcn. Donna Arellano for commitment in leading us in communal prayer.
