Sunday Eucharist | 10:30 (Choral)

On July 27, we hosted LizBeth Adams from the Bishop’s Office to lead us in learning about radical hospitality. We had around 30 people from three different churches here in Wells Hall.
Why are we at Christ Church talking about radical hospitality? Why not Christ Church? We have houseless neighbors literally on our doorstep and in our breeze way.
LizBeth introduced the Companionship Movement. It aims to develop the capacity of congregations as they respond to distress and suffering. LizBeth defined companionship as a relationship between two human beings marked by mutuality and equality. After all, we are neighbors and fellow citizens at the intersection of Division and North K Street.
This is not a quick fix scheme, we’re in this for the long haul. So – how do we do this? LizBeth shared a lot of good information. We’re going to focus on specifics over the coming weeks in the Weekly Newsletter.
