Tuesday, April 8th, Dax Foxx, founder and executive director of Power of Two*, (www.thepowertwo.org) held their Open House, to officially start their use of (what used to be) our nursery for their Youth Club program. We had lots of fun playing with the toys – foosball, games, drums, video games, lots and lots more! Yes, I said “we” – because those of us who attended played as well as the many kids and parents.
If you haven’t done so already, please take a look at that room! Dax has transformed it into a fun playroom, where children from 5 to 17 can come and play, while being empowered to grow and be strong.
Power of Two will also be using “The Green Room” to host a Women’s empowerment group on Monday’s and Wednesday’s. Their motto is, “A woman with a voice is a strong woman. But the truly powerful woman is the woman that has the courage to use her voice to empower and strengthen others.”
Dax says, “This is amazing. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for our collaboration. I am very grateful for using this space, and the kids are too. Thank you.”
