Third Friday Concert with Curt Sather

Curt Sather joins us on May 16 for the 3rd Friday Organ concert.

He will play the following program:

About Curt Sather

Curt Sather received degrees in Organ Performance from Arizona State University (BM), studying organ with Robert Clark and harpsichord with John Metz, and the Eastman School of Music (MM and DMA), studying organ with Russell Saunders and harpsichord with Arthur Haas.

He has served as Organist & Choirmaster for the Episcopal church, most notably in Scottsdale, AZ; Los Angeles, CA; Olympia, WA; and currently at Trinity Episcopal Church, Wauwatosa, WI. He was also organist in Florence, Italy, at the historic basilica of San Miniato al Monte, the Duomo, and St. Mark’s Anglican church.

A lifetime of study and performance of the music of J. S. Bach, he has performed the complete organ works of Bach four times, twice in a 24-hour marathon as part of his annual Bach Birthday recitals. Two CDs of organ music of Bach have been recorded.
