Children and families have always been a part of Christ Church. We welcome children (and adults), wiggles and all!

Children in Worship

Children of all ages are welcome in worship, wiggles and all. We believe that learning to love liturgy beings being in it, seeing it, and feeling like you are a part of it all. So, we have a ‘prayground’ in the front of our Sanctuary. The prayground is a space for kids to spread out on the (heated!) floor, with soft toys and activity packs such as KidsWord and Little KidsWord (non-readers) are available.

Children able to carry a cross or torch (candle) are welcome to be Acolytes, even if they can’t sit still for the whole service (we can make some accomodations for age and attention-span). This is a liturgical ministry that gets kids involved in the liturgy, moving their bodies. Reach out to Mother Maria if you would like to explore this.

Godly Play

Godly Play is a Montessori-based Christian curriculum for all ages (even adults!) that engages us with the stories of God and God’s people. We currently do not have enough children to run this program, but if that changes, we will let you know here!
