There are several Outreach activities scheduled for the next month or so that parishioners are invited to join.
March 15 during Coffee Hour—Deacon Donna Arellano will be leading an assembly line in Wells Hall to put together lunch boxes for FOB Hope in support of veterans in the local area experiencing being unhoused. This is an activity where “many hands make light work” so please consider taking a few minutes from your table conversations and join other parishioners for 10 to 15 minutes to help support our veterans.
March 22 during Coffee Hour—Len Johnson from the Outreach Leadership Team (OLT), will be leading an assembly line in Wells Hall to put together 100 food packs. This is another opportunity to take a few minutes to join other parishioners in support of this ministry that helps us provide assistance to our neighbors living on the street.
April 4—Christ Church will be sending a team of 4-8 to Emergency Food Network’s (EFN) Lakewood warehouse on Saturday, April 4, for a 2 hour shift focused on filling boxes with food items. These boxes will be delivered by EFN to peoples’ homes that are unable to go to local area food banks to pick things up themselves. There will be a Sign Up Sheet in the narthex on Sundays during March for those interested.
