Hello!
I always suspected I might end up living in a church, but I just assumed it’d be in a belfry somewhere. All things considered, this is much more comfortable!
Tacoma has been my home my entire life, ever since I was born just a couple blocks away at Tacoma General. In the decades since, I’ve found my passions in music, movies, theatre, and other pop cultural avenues. My first job was as a projectionist at the Grand Cinema, a little over 20 years ago, and since then I’ve strived to always let my work be at least adjacent to the arts. Since 2009, I’ve been lucky enough to be paid to write about my passions for various publications.
I’ve been a constant cheerleader for Tacoma and its people, always hoping for, and trying to effect, positive change wherever and however I can. We’re a city of underdogs, idiosyncrasies, and a collective heart that’s in the right place. I’m excited to work with Christ Episcopal Church, which seems to me to be an exceedingly compassionate group. If you see me wandering the grounds, don’t be afraid to say hi!
