A Community of Tacoma
Barbara Williams, Sr. Warden

I am so excited about the things that are happening in our congregation. We responded YES to the request for gifts for the children that Dax works with in Power of Two, and bought and wrapped all 75. Wells Hall is filled with folks wrapping gifts and our congregation was invited to join in.

Sherina James is inviting people to a Silent Disco in Wells Hall on Dec. 20 (tomorrow!). I’d never heard of such a thing, but young people are into it. Watch for the next Silent Disco date in January.

People tell me how great the choir is sounding, even without the choral scholars. We are hearing solos from our tenors Van Hardison and Ronn Johanson, our bass Jeff Ganung, our alto Peach McDouall, and sopranos Caroline Allen and Jane Bertolin. I also hope to hear from Pat Hendrix and Lisa Ganung. There may be more!

I am leading a discernment group of six of our young adults who are looking and listening for how God might be calling them to serve. Discerning in community is encouraged by our bishop.

What a privilege it is to be a part of this congregation.

Barbara Williams
Senior Warden
