Wells Hall Main Floor

Located on the corner of K Street and 4th and near Division in North Tacoma, Wells Hall is now available for wedding receptions, presentations, and theatrical performances and events. Recent renovations of our Main Floor added new heating and AC, making this 2,709-sf space more desirable year-round, along with updating our restrooms throughout the building.

A 321-sf stage on one end of the Main Floor is prepped for your band, DJ, lecture, presentation, movie, or slide show, with a screen and lighted podium, and a baby grand piano available for your use. There is plenty of room for dancing on our lovingly refinished floors if your guest list is under 130. We also have a simple microphone and sound system you are welcome to use.

You are welcome to use the licensed and insured caterer of your choice for food service during your event; self-catering is also available for an additional fee. Our Kitchen is available for your service setup (separate fee for Business and Nonprofit rentals), and you or your caterer are welcome to use our refrigerators and ovens. Should you choose to use our garden Courtyard, you are welcome to have tables and chairs set up outside, weather permitting.

Seating Options

Seating can be arranged in auditorium-style rows, with approximately 12 rows seating 180 people throughout the room. If table seating is preferred, 22 round tables can be used, each seating 8 people, for a total of 180. Three additional 6 ft. rectangular tables are available for food and/or beverage set-up wherever you prefer. A combination of rows plus table seating is also available. Please remember that use of rectangular tables removes at least two round tables and seats, and lessens the amount of available space to use as a dance area. Our office staff is ready to help with your setup plans, should you need assistance.

  • Table linens (white only, no napkins) @ $10/table
  • Place settings (dinner and dessert plates, soup bowls, knife, fork, spoon, soup spoon) for 150 @ $7/person
  • Coffee/tea service for up to 150 @ $2/person
