CANCELLED – Women Reformers: Hildegard, Mechthild, and Julian

In this course, we will read Rosemary Radford Ruether’s short book, Visionary Women: Three Medieval Mystics, as we explore the lives of Hildegard of Bingen, Mechthild of Magdeburg, and Julian of Norwich. In particular, we will consider how their mystical experience animated their promotion of reforming church and society.
