Whiffenpoofs at Christ Church

Join the Yale Whiffenpoofs in Tacoma on the PNW hometown tour of musical director, Logan Foy! The Whiffenpoofs are America’s oldest a cappella group, founded in 1909. The group has brought their diverse repertoire of vocal jazz, folk, pop, and Broadway hits to more than two hundred audiences each year across all 6 inhabited continents. In past years, the ‘Whiffs’ have sung for Presidents Obama, Bush (41 and 43), Clinton, and Reagan, and at venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. They’ve even been featured on television shows such as “The Sing Off,” “The West Wing,” and “Glee.”
The Whiffenpoofs will be opened for by local a cappella group, Puget Sound Co., with Whiffenpoof alumni Alexander Oki and Michael Tappel! Puget Sound Co. is a 9-member vocal ensemble founded in Seattle in October 2018. They specialize in unaccompanied musical performance, using only voices to cover popular artists from The Beatles to Fleetwood Mac to Dua Lipa and more.
