Christian Faith and Animal Rights

Thursday, October 13 at 7:00 pm9:00 pm

Discussion with Dr. Dustin Crummert in the Library

On Sunday, October 2, we will celebrate the Blessing of Animals in the courtyard. Flowing from that blessing, we are glad to announce that Dr. Dustin Crummert, Christ Church worshipper and professor of philosophy at UWT, will lead a discussion on October 13 concerning Christian faith and animal rights. Dustin says: Some influential schools of Christian thought have held that we have no, or only very minimal, obligations to animals. But if we consult sources like reason, the Bible, or Jesus, this turns out to be false, and the result is that we should often treat animals differently than we currently do. Save the date for what will be a fascinating and enlightening discussion.
